At Direct Plus in Vancouver, British Columbia, Direct Plus Leadership Training and 1-1 Coaching became part of a broader leadership development commitment as 16 senior leaders participated in a customized learning journey designed to strengthen communication, strategic alignment, customer focus, and leadership effectiveness.
The journey began with a two-day in-person strategy session in February 2025. From the beginning, Direct Plus recognized that strong leadership requires clarity, courage, and collaboration. Therefore, the organization brought together 16 senior leaders for a focused two-day business strategy session in Vancouver.
Rather than treating the session as a typical planning retreat, Soaring Leadership created an immersive experience built around Direct Plus’s draft goals. This allowed leaders to move beyond surface-level planning and focus on the conversations that mattered most.
Furthermore, the session began with Emotional Intelligence training. Leaders reflected on how their mindset, habits, and communication influence business results. As a result, the team was better prepared to discuss strategy with honesty, openness, and accountability.
This foundation helped create an environment where trust, communication, and leadership alignment could grow.

Building Leadership Capacity Through Training and Coaching
Rather than relying on generic leadership concepts, the Direct Plus program was built around their senior leadership team, workplace priorities, customer goals, and business strategy.
During the first two-day strategy session in February 2025, leaders worked through a structured planning process. Together, they reviewed their goals, explored what makes Direct Plus unique, and identified ways they could create exceptional customer experiences.

As part of the overall leadership development program, Direct Plus also invested in personalized 1-1 coaching for its senior leadership team.
Beginning in 2026, 16 senior leaders started bi-weekly 1-1 coaching sessions with Soaring Leadership for the year. These coaching sessions provided dedicated time for reflection, leadership development, problem-solving, and real-time support.
