Soaring Leadership recently delivered a live, in-person leadership development session for the team at SJ Fine Foods. The experience brought leaders together in a collaborative and engaging setting.
During the session, participants focused on building practical leadership skills for today’s workplace. The training was led by Joyce Hughes, Board-Certified Coach™ and Founder of Soaring Leadership.
First, the group explored emotional intelligence as a core leadership capability. This included understanding how thoughts, emotions, and behaviors impact performance. As a result, leaders gained greater clarity around their own leadership styles.
In addition, participants took part in hands-on activities and guided discussions. These exercises encouraged reflection, openness, and teamwork. For example, brainstorming sessions helped teams practice listening and idea-sharing in real time.
The training also emphasized several key areas of development:

- Building skilled, respectful relationships
- Collaborative problem-solving
Throughout the day, the room was filled with energy and participation. Team members shared insights and supported one another’s learning. As a result, the group strengthened trust and communication.
